Treatment Process
Thorough Examination
Each consultation begins with a comprehensive examination of the patient and a discussion with the owner.
Understanding the course of the condition and establishing a correct diagnosis form the foundation for a successful treatment plan.
During the acupuncture treatment, thin, sterile single-use needles are inserted and typically remain in place for about 20 minutes.
Number of Treatments
The number of sessions required varies greatly, depending on the nature of the condition and the animal’s response to treatment.
Because animals often have lived with their problem for an extended period, at least 2–3 sessions are usually necessary to achieve the desired effect.
Afterward, it is evaluated whether further treatments are needed and at what interval they should be performed.
Precondition for Acupuncture
A prerequisite for acupuncture treatment is that the patient has first been evaluated neurologically and chiropractically.
Without this preliminary assessment, the desired therapeutic effect cannot be achieved.
